WINNIPEG, Manitoba — In an exciting matchup on Thursday night, Troy Terry netted his second goal just over three minutes into overtime, securing a 4-3 win for the Anaheim Ducks against the Winnipeg Jets.

Terry showcased an impressive performance, contributing with an assist as part of a three-point night. Alongside him, teammates Radko Gudas and Leo Carlsson also found the back of the net, while goaltender John Gibson made 27 saves for the Ducks, who improved their season record to 16-17-4.

Gudas played a crucial role in sending the game into overtime by scoring from the blue line with a screened shot that slipped past Connor Hellebuyck with just 1:10 remaining in regulation, while Gibson was off the ice for an extra skater. Earlier in the game, Alex Iafallo had given the Jets a 3-2 lead with a wraparound goal at the 2:44 mark of the third period.

Winnipeg’s Adam Lowry and Mark Scheifele also contributed goals to the Jets’ efforts, but despite their strong start, the team has now dropped two consecutive games, bringing their record to 27-11-2.

Key moments included the Ducks’ resilient comeback after allowing an early goal just 33 seconds into the game. They managed to tie the contest at two in the second period and rebound from a late deficit to force overtime.

Looking ahead, the Ducks will face off against the Edmonton Oilers on Friday night, while the Jets will continue their eight-game homestand with a matchup against the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday.
