LOS ANGELES — Pamela Bach, an actress best known for her roles on TV and as the ex-spouse of “Baywatch” star David Hasselhoff, has passed away at the age of 62.
The Los Angeles medical examiner’s office confirmed that her death occurred on Wednesday and classified it as suicide. Additionally recognized in the entertainment industry as Pamela Hasselhoff, Bach’s career included appearances on popular shows like “The Young and the Restless.” It was on the set of “Knight Rider,” where she met David Hasselhoff, that their future relationship began.
Bach also took part in the iconic “Baywatch” series alongside her then-husband. The couple wed in December 1989 and became parents to two daughters, Taylor and Hayley. However, their marriage hit stormy waters, leading Hasselhoff to file for divorce in January 2006. Their separation was marked by contention, with Bach accusing Hasselhoff of domestic violence during the process.
The public and media were fascinated by the couple’s turbulent breakup, which included a notorious incident where a video surfaced showing Hasselhoff inebriated and eating a burger, resulting in him temporarily losing his visitation rights with his daughters. After two weeks, those rights were reinstated. Hasselhoff admitted to having a relapse with alcohol, acknowledging the video filmed by one of his daughters, but denied any allegations of abuse.
Attempts to reach representatives for David Hasselhoff for comment have not been successful as of now. In a separate chapter of his life, David Hasselhoff went on to marry model Hayley Roberts in 2018, starting anew following the publicized tumultuous history with Bach.
