ALBANY, N.Y. — In a thrilling matchup on Saturday evening, New Hampshire triumphed over Albany with a final score of 71-60, thanks in large part to a standout performance from Sami Pissis, who netted 27 points.

Pissis not only led the scoring for the Wildcats (8-21, 6-8 America East Conference) but also contributed six rebounds to the team’s efforts. His teammates supported him well, with Davide Poser scoring 13 points and hitting 4 of 8 attempts, demonstrating exceptional marksmanship from beyond the arc with four successful 3-pointers out of seven attempts. Khalil Badru also made a solid contribution, adding 11 points with a shooting performance of 5 for 13, including one 3-point basket.

On the opposing side, Byron Joshua was a key player for the Great Danes (14-14, 6-7), leading their offense with 20 points along with grabbing six rebounds. Kacper Klaczek and Kheni Briggs both chipped in 10 points each, with Klaczek also securing six rebounds to aid his team’s defense.

Looking ahead, both squads are set to compete again on Thursday. New Hampshire will be hosting Maine, while Albany will head out for an away game against UMBC.
