Agbim demonstrated accuracy, shooting 7 for 13 from the floor and impressively hitting 4 of 7 from beyond the arc, in addition to perfect free throw shooting with 4 for 4. This victory improves Wyoming’s record to 12 wins and 15 losses, with a 5-11 standing in the Mountain West Conference. Cole Henry contributed significantly as well, scoring 16 points while also grabbing nine rebounds. Dontaie Allen added further support with 12 points, going 5 for 10 from the field. This victory marked a much-needed turnaround for the Cowboys, snapping a streak of five consecutive losses.
For Air Force, which now holds a record of 3-23 with no conference victories at 0-15, Wesley Celichowski led the scoring with 16 points. Both Kyle Marshall and Beau Becker chipped in with 10 points each, with Marshall also contributing seven rebounds. Unfortunately, the Falcons extended their dismal streak to 16 losses in a row.
In the first half, Allen made a strong impact by scoring 12 points, but the Cowboys found themselves behind at halftime with a score of 38-28. However, Wyoming came back in the second half with a remarkable 19-2 run that shifted the momentum, allowing them to take a 57-48 lead with just under eight minutes left in the game. Agbim was pivotal in that stretch, netting 14 points in the latter half.
Looking ahead, both teams are set to return to action on Saturday; Wyoming will be hosting San Jose State, while Air Force will face Fresno State on their home court.
