Keaston Willis supported the effort with 11 points, shooting 3 of 9 overall, including 3 for 8 from downtown, while Jared Garcia also contributed 11 points.
On the other hand, Charlotte, now at 7-10 overall and 0-4 in conference play, was led by Nik Graves, who netted 19 points. Kylan Blackmon added 18 points for the 49ers, and Robert Braswell chipped in with 10 points.
Tulsa entered halftime with a favorable lead of 39-31, partly thanks to Garcia, who scored 11 points during the first half. The Golden Hurricane extended their advantage in the second half with an 8-0 run that gave them a 61-52 lead with just over six minutes remaining in the game, allowing them to secure the win.
Originally scheduled for Saturday, the game was postponed due to a winter storm that disrupted travel arrangements for Charlotte.
