Montana tops Weber State with a score of 65-58.

MISSOULA, Mont. — In an exciting contest on Saturday night, Malik Moore led the Montana Grizzlies to a 65-58 victory over Weber State, scoring a remarkable 22 points.
Moore had an impressive shooting night, hitting 8 of 13 from the field, including 6 of 10 from three-point range, contributing significantly to the Grizzlies’ overall success in the game.
In addition to Moore, Te’Jon Sawyer made a notable impact with 17 points, achieving a commendable 7 of 9 shooting performance.
Kai Johnson also played a key role for Montana, contributing nine points by going 4 of 7 from the field, although he struggled a bit from the free-throw line, making just 1 of 3 attempts.
With this victory, the Grizzlies have now extended their winning streak to eight games, solidifying their position in the Big Sky Conference with a record of 19 wins and 8 losses, along with a commanding 12-2 record in conference play.
On the other side, the Weber State Wildcats, with a record of 9-18 and 3-10 in the conference, saw Blaise Threatt emerging as their top scorer, finishing the game with 24 points along with four assists.
Trevor Henning and Viljami Vartiainen added to the scoring with 11 points apiece, but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome in favor of the Wildcats.
Looking ahead, the Grizzlies will face another challenge as they prepare to go on the road to play against Montana State next Saturday.
Meanwhile, Weber State will attempt to bounce back when they host Sacramento State this Thursday.
