HARRISONBURG, Va. — In an impressive display of teamwork and skill, Bryce Lindsay led the James Madison Dukes to a decisive victory over Georgia State, finishing the game with 23 points in an 83-63 outcome on Thursday evening.

Lindsay demonstrated exceptional shooting abilities, making 7 of his 16 attempts from the field, which included 5 successful shots from beyond the arc out of 12 attempts. He also maintained an unblemished record from the charity stripe, landing all 4 of his free throws. Contributing to the team’s success were Elijah Hutchins-Everett, who scored 16 points with efficient shooting (5 for 7 from the field and 6 for 7 from the line), alongside Mark Freeman and Xavier Brown, each adding 11 points to the scoreboard.

On the opposing side, Georgia State struggled to keep pace with the Dukes despite a commendable effort from Cesare Edwards, who tallied 14 points and secured seven rebounds. The Panthers also saw contributions from Malachi Brown and Zarigue Nutter, both of whom finished with 12 points each, but it wasn’t enough to overcome James Madison’s strong performance.

As the Dukes improved their record to 18 wins and 10 losses while standing at 11-4 within the Sun Belt Conference, Georgia State dropped to 12-16 and 7-8 in the same conference. The game highlighted the capabilities of the Dukes as they look to maintain their momentum in the season ahead.
