FORT WAYNE, Ind. — In a strong performance on Saturday night, Rasheed Bello scored 26 points, leading Purdue Fort Wayne to a commanding 90-67 victory over Detroit Mercy.

Bello also contributed with five rebounds for the Mastodons, who now hold a record of 13-6 overall and 6-2 in the Horizon League. Corey Hadnot II played a significant role in the win, showcasing an impressive shooting display by making 7 of 10 attempts from the field, including 4 of 5 from beyond the arc. He also went a perfect 5 for 5 from the free-throw line, ending the game with 23 points. Jalen Jackson also made notable contributions for the team, finishing the match with 19 points off 7 of 13 shooting, including one three-pointer, while hitting all four of his free throws.

On the other side, the Titans struggled despite some individual highlights. TJ Nadeau led Detroit Mercy with a solid performance, scoring 20 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. His teammates also performed well, with Grant Gondrezick II contributing 19 points, six rebounds, and five assists, while Nate Johnson matched Gondrezick’s scoring with another 19 points and grabbed six rebounds as well.

Looking ahead, Purdue Fort Wayne will face Wright State on Wednesday in an away game, while Detroit Mercy will return home to host Oakland on Saturday.
