Leavitt Says Trump Survived By ‘Grace Of God’
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has reignited the national debate around faith and politics, declaring in a new interview that evil forces against Trump are actively working to undermine him. Speaking to David Brody of the Christian Broadcasting Network, Leavitt described her belief in “spiritual warfare” and credited divine intervention for saving Trump during an assassination attempt in July.
“I certainly believe in spiritual warfare,” Leavitt said. “I saw it firsthand throughout the campaign trail with President Trump. There were certainly evil forces.”
She pointed to the failed assassination attempt on July 13 in Butler, Pennsylvania, where a bullet narrowly missed Trump’s head, as evidence of divine protection. “The president was saved by the grace of God,” she said. “It’s a miraculous thing that has taken place in our country.”
Leavitt Attributes Career To Divine Timing
Leavitt, now the youngest White House Press Secretary in U.S. history, also reflected on her failed 2022 congressional run in New Hampshire. Although she lost to Democratic Rep. Chris Pappas, she believes it was part of a larger plan.
“When God closes a door, he’s opening another,” she said. “Losing that election led me here. I wouldn’t be in this position if things had gone differently.”
She emphasized that her journey—filled with setbacks, victories, and new opportunities—has all unfolded according to God’s will.
Faith Shapes Her Daily Routine
As chaos brews around the administration, Leavitt relies on prayer to stay grounded. She revealed that she and her team lead a group prayer before every press briefing.
“It’s the last thing I do before going out there,” she explained. “It resets my spirit and gives me the confidence to do the briefing.”
She said the prayer is a moment to ask for clarity, calm, and protection before facing a demanding press corps.
White House Faces Spiritual Battle, She Claims
The idea of evil forces against Trump has long circulated in conservative and religious circles, but Leavitt’s remarks are the most explicit yet from a high-level official inside the Trump administration.
Brody asked if she saw the world as a battle between good and evil. “Absolutely,” she replied. “We’re all here for a reason. What happened in Butler proves that.”
Leavitt emphasized that the president’s survival was not luck, but “a moment of divine grace.”
Trump Applauds Her Rising Star Power
The president has publicly praised Leavitt’s performance. “She’s really the rage right now,” Trump said recently. “She’s knocking them dead.”
When asked how she wants to be remembered, Leavitt responded humbly. “I hope people see me as a hard worker, a good mom, and someone who gets the job done,” she said. “But we’ve only been here two months. We’ll see in four years.”
Confidence Rooted In Conviction
Leavitt also touched on her approach to briefing preparation, likening herself to an “internal investigative reporter.” She said she consults with experts, including President Trump, to better understand daily issues before speaking to the public.
But her most important prep step is spiritual. “That moment of prayer—it’s everything,” she said. “It brings focus, peace, and power.”
The Bigger Picture
In today’s climate, the notion of evil forces against Trump is no longer just rhetoric—it’s now being echoed from inside the White House. As the administration braces for the 2024 election, Leavitt’s words suggest that the Trump team sees itself not just in a political battle, but in a spiritual one.
