Retired Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy has revised both the title and release schedule for his forthcoming memoir. Originally anticipated to be a two-volume set, the memoir will now be published as a single book entitled “Life, Law, & Liberty,” as announced by Simon & Schuster.
This change also includes a new release date with the memoir set to hit shelves on October 14, a year later than initially planned. Kennedy first intended to title his work “Life and Law,” but according to a spokesperson from Simon & Schuster, these adjustments reflect the “natural evolution of the editing process.”
The 88-year-old Kennedy, who retired from the court in 2018, aims to recount his journey starting from his upbringing in Sacramento, California, to his three decades of service as an associate justice. Known for his moderate conservative views, Kennedy played pivotal roles in landmark decisions concerning same-sex marriage, campaign finance, abortion, and more.
