NEWARK, N.J. — In a commanding showcase, Ryan Kalkbrenner fueled Creighton to a notable 79-61 victory over Seton Hall on Tuesday night with an impressive 20-point performance. Kalkbrenner also exhibited his skills on the boards, collecting nine rebounds, contributing to the Bluejays’ strong effort (now at 21-9 overall, 14-5 in the Big East Conference).
The support from Jackson McAndrew was significant, as he added 17 points to Creighton’s total and showcased his prowess from the three-point line, hitting 5 out of 8 attempts while grabbing six rebounds. Moreover, Fredrick King was efficient from the floor, making four out of five field goals and a perfect four free-throw attempts, culminating in 12 points.
For Seton Hall, Isaiah Coleman was a standout, scoring 18 points and securing seven rebounds, although the Pirates (now standing at 7-23 overall, 2-17 in conference play) couldn’t quite bridge the gap. Scotty Middleton contributed with 12 points and three steals, while Dylan Addae-Wusu added 10 points, six rebounds, and four assists to the Pirates’ efforts.
