Bryant triumphs over New Hampshire, claims AE title

    SMITHFIELD, R.I. — In a dominant display on Tuesday night, Bryant University emerged victorious over the University of New Hampshire with a resounding score of 90-56, securing the title of America East regular-season champions. Rafael Pinzon led the charge for Bryant with 17 points, while Keyshawn Mitchell made a significant impact, scoring 16 points and collecting 14 rebounds.

    The Bulldogs, boasting a 20-11 overall record and a 14-2 conference record, had already ensured a share of the regular-season title ahead of this game. Their triumph on Tuesday allows them to host a quarterfinal game this coming Saturday, further solidifying their standing in the league.

    In addition to his scoring, Pinzon was effective on the boards, pulling down five rebounds. Mitchell showcased his defensive prowess as well, shooting 6 of 9 from the field, hitting 1 of 3 from beyond the arc, and going 3 for 5 from the free-throw line, all while securing five blocks. Barry Evans contributed significantly as well, shooting 5 of 10 from the field to end the game with 14 points.

    For the Wildcats, now standing at 8-23 overall and 6-10 in conference play, Khalil Badru was a standout performer, registering 12 points and three steals. The team also saw contributions from Anthony McComb III, who scored 11 points, and Sami Pissis, who added 10 points to the tally.
