CHARLOTTE, N.C. — In an impressive performance, Leo Colimerio led the way for the Queens Royals, scoring 19 points in their 87-68 victory over West Georgia on Saturday.
The Royals improved their record to 14-9 overall and 7-3 in the Atlantic Sun Conference. Colimerio also contributed significantly on the boards, grabbing eight rebounds.
Jaxon Pollard was another standout for Queens, scoring 13 points without missing a shot, finishing 5 for 5 from the field. Additionally, Chris Ashby matched Pollard’s 13 points, shooting 5 of 9 overall and 3 of 6 from beyond the arc.
On the opposing side, Shelton Williams-Dryden was the top scorer for the West Georgia Wolves, finishing the game with 23 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Kyric Davis also made a valuable contribution for the Wolves, recording 10 points, six rebounds, and three steals. Tauris Watson also added to the scoring efforts with 10 points.
Looking ahead to their next challenges, both teams are set to play on Wednesday. Queens will travel to Central Arkansas, while West Georgia will host Lipscomb at home.
