POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — In a convincing victory on Saturday night, Aasim Burton’s impressive performance led Rider to a 64-57 win over Marist.
Burton was a key contributor for the Broncs, scoring 21 points with an efficient shooting display, hitting 7 of his 11 attempts and converting 5 of 8 from the charity stripe.
Tariq Ingraham also made significant contributions, recording 13 points from 5 of 9 shooting, along with 10 rebounds and 3 of 4 shooting from the free-throw line.
TJ Weeks Jr. added to the Broncos’ tally with another 13 points, going 4 for 12 overall, including 2 for 4 from three-point range, while successfully sinking all 3 of his free-throw attempts.
For Marist, Josh Pascarelli stood out with 17 points, trying to anchor his team during the contest.
Elijah Lewis contributed 13 points, while Jadin Collins finished with 11.
This defeat snapped Marist’s impressive nine-game winning streak, leaving them at 13-3 overall and 6-1 in the conference standings.
Conversely, Rider improved to 7-11 with a conference record of 3-4.
