Olean, N.Y. — In a strong performance, Jonah Hinton tallied 19 points to help Saint Bonaventure secure a victory over Richmond with a final score of 63-49 on Wednesday evening.
Hinton demonstrated his shooting prowess, converting 7 of 14 attempts, including an impressive 5 of 10 from three-point range. Supporting him, Chance Moore contributed significantly with 15 points and pulled down nine rebounds. Melvin Council Jr. also made his presence felt on the court, registering 14 points after shooting 5 of 11 overall, which included a 1 for 5 effort from beyond the arc. Additionally, Council displayed versatility with seven rebounds, five assists, and three steals.
For the Spiders, who now hold a record of 7-11 and 2-3 in the Atlantic 10 Conference, Jason Roche emerged as the top scorer, netting 12 points. Jonathan Beagle added eight points to the tally, while George Washington III also contributed with eight.
Looking ahead, both Saint Bonaventure and Richmond are set to compete again on Saturday. The Bonnies will take on Duquesne away from home, while the Spiders will be hosting Saint Louis.
