Arrest Rocks Hollywood

Michael Pitt arrested — and fans are stunned. The Boardwalk Empire star faces nine criminal charges after his arraignment in Brooklyn on May 2. According to court records, the shocking accusations date from April 2020 to August 2021.

Although the indictment redacts the victim’s names, it describes brutal and disturbing details. Pitt, however, entered a firm not guilty plea to every single charge.

Disturbing Allegations Revealed

According to prosecutors, the case involves horrifying claims. On April 19, 2020, Pitt allegedly forced contact with a victim’s private areas. Just months later, on August 5, 2020, he reportedly performed oral sex without consent. Even more shocking, on the same day, he allegedly assaulted someone with a piece of wood.

Moreover, in June 2021, Pitt allegedly attacked another person with a cinderblock. That terrifying spree reportedly ended in August 2021, when Pitt allegedly strangled a victim.

The charges are severe. They include first- and third-degree criminal sexual acts, two counts of first-degree sexual abuse, two counts of second-degree assault, two counts of attempted assault, and strangulation. Clearly, these are not minor accusations.

Legal Battle Heats Up

If convicted of the top charge, Pitt faces between five and 25 years behind bars. Still, his lawyer insists Pitt is innocent. Speaking to PEOPLE, Cary London declared that Pitt would be vindicated in court. Furthermore, London accused an unnamed individual of fabricating claims.

“Unfortunately, we live in a world where someone like Mr. Pitt — an accomplished professional — can be accused without proof,” London argued. He added, “We look forward to clearing his name with real evidence.”

From Stardom To Scandal

Pitt rose to fame early. He first captured hearts as Henry Parker in Dawson’s Creek. Soon after, he starred in acclaimed films like The Dreamers and Funny Games. However, his role as Jimmy Darmody in Boardwalk Empire truly made him a household name.

Although he exited the show midway, his intense portrayal of a Prohibition-era gangster still resonates with fans. Yet, as these charges surface, his once-shining career now faces an uncertain future.

Next Court Appearance Looms

Pitt, now 43, will appear in court again on June 17. As this high-profile case unfolds, the world will watch closely. Will more details emerge? Could more charges follow? Time will tell.

For now, however, Pitt remains free as the justice system prepares to weigh his fate. Meanwhile, supporters and critics alike remain divided, waiting for truth and clarity.
