LOS ANGELES — A man was detained following an incident where a vehicle was driven into the front gate of Jennifer Aniston’s residence in Los Angeles, local authorities reported on Tuesday.
Law enforcement officials informed KABC-TV that the renowned “Friends” actress was at home during the time of the incident. The crash took place around 12:20 p.m. on Monday, on the 900 Block of Airole Way located in the affluent Bel Air area, as stated by Officer Jeff Lee of the Los Angeles Police Department.
According to online property listings, a residence on that street is owned by a trust managed by Aniston’s business manager. Private security personnel quickly subdued the driver and held him until law enforcement officers arrived on the scene. The officer described the suspect as a white male in his middle years. As of Tuesday morning, the suspect had not been named, and no formal charges had been brought against him.
Officer Lee disclosed that the suspect was allegedly using his car to breach the residence’s gate. Efforts to reach Aniston’s representatives and legal team for comments were made on Tuesday.
Jennifer Aniston, who is currently featured in the Apple TV series “Morning Show,” acquired the midcentury property which is situated on a substantial 3.4-acre piece of land, for approximately $21 million back in 2012, as previously reported in Architectural Digest.
