WASHINGTON — In an impressive display of skill, Christian Jones led George Washington to an 82-62 triumph over Dayton on Saturday, contributing a notable 23 points.

Jones demonstrated his shooting prowess by hitting 7 of 14 attempts from the field, including 5 of 8 from beyond the arc. He also maintained perfect form at the charity stripe, going 4 for 4. His teammates also made significant contributions, with Gerald Drumgoole Jr. netting 21 points along with five rebounds, and Trey Autry finishing a perfect 6 for 6 from the floor with three three-pointers to score 17 points.

On the other side, Nate Santos was a standout for the Flyers, scoring 23 points, while Zed Key contributed 10 points and added six rebounds along with two steals and three blocks to the mix.

George Washington established their dominance early in the game, taking the lead just 46 seconds into play and maintaining it throughout. By halftime, the Revolutionaries were well ahead with a score of 43-27, thanks in part to Jones, who had racked up 15 points by that point. In the second half, George Washington continued their solid play, edging out Dayton by four points over the last 20 minutes, with Drumgoole leading the team with 11 points in the second half.
