NORMAL, Ill. — Chase Walker contributed significantly to Illinois State’s success on Saturday night, scoring 22 points and pulling down 11 rebounds as the Redbirds triumphed over Pacific, finishing with a score of 72-61.

Jack Daugherty also made a notable impact, netting 15 points with an impressive 5-for-7 accuracy from beyond the arc. Johnny Kinziger supported the effort by adding 14 points to the scoreboard.

On the opposing side, Jazz Gardner led the Tigers with 15 points, while Lamar Washington supported with 14 points and secured seven rebounds. Elijah Fisher contributed 12 points for Pacific.

The turning point for Illinois State came with 2:14 remaining in the first half, where they took control of the game and never relinquished it. At the intermission, the scoreboard showed a tight 33-29 in favor of Illinois State, with Kinziger being a key player by scoring 10 points.
