LOS ANGELES — Treysen Eaglestaff played a key role in North Dakota’s narrow victory over Loyola Marymount, scoring 23 points in the team’s 77-73 triumph on Friday night.
Eaglestaff also made his mark on the boards with five rebounds, helping the Fightin’ Hawks improve their record to 3-2. Alongside him, Mier Panoam contributed significantly with 16 points and seven rebounds, while Dariyus Woodson chipped in with 12 points.
On the other side, the Lions, now 1-3, had Caleb Stone-Carrawell as their top scorer, finishing with 17 points. Alex Merkviladze had a well-rounded game, posting 16 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Will Johnston supported the effort with 15 points and four assists.
North Dakota held a slight lead at halftime, heading into the break with a score of 36-32. Eaglestaff was instrumental in the second half, leading his team with 12 points as they secured the win.
