‘Vanderpump Rules’ actor James Kennedy expresses dedication to transformation following domestic violence arrest

LOS ANGELES — Reality TV star James Kennedy, known for his role on “Vanderpump Rules,” has expressed his commitment to self-improvement and sobriety following his recent arrest on charges of misdemeanor domestic violence. The arrest stemmed from an incident in which he allegedly threw his girlfriend to the ground.

In his initial public response since the arrest, shared on Instagram, Kennedy stated, “I am committed to making meaningful changes in my life.” He emphasized the importance of focusing on his sobriety, personal development, and being available for his loved ones. He acknowledged the difficulty of facing such challenges but affirmed his resolve to learn, grow, and progress.

The event occurred late on December 10, when police in Burbank, located near Los Angeles, responded to a report of a dispute between a man and a woman. Upon their arrival, a woman alleged that Kennedy had lifted her and thrown her to the ground.

Kennedy, who is 32 years old and whose full name is James Kennedy Georgiou, was taken into custody but later released after posting bail. The Burbank city attorney is reviewing the case to decide if formal charges will be filed, although there has been no immediate communication regarding any decisions made.

While authorities have not disclosed the name of the involved woman, it has been noted that Kennedy is currently in a relationship with Ally Lewber, his co-star from “Vanderpump Rules.” In a statement posted on her own Instagram account, Lewber thanked supporters for their love and concern, assuring everyone that she is okay and taking time for herself.

Kennedy, originally from London, has been a prominent figure on “Vanderpump Rules,” which has aired for ten seasons. The show, featured on Bravo and Peacock, revolves around the lives of staff members working at the upscale establishments owned by Lisa Vanderpump, a former star of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” Excitingly, the series is rumored to be undergoing a reboot with a fresh cast for its upcoming twelfth season.
