TAMPA, Fla. — On Sunday, Baba Miller led Florida Atlantic with a stellar performance, contributing 17 points to secure a 69-63 victory over South Florida.
Miller not only showcased his scoring ability but also dominated the boards with eight rebounds and added three blocks for the Owls. In support, Kaleb Glenn delivered a strong double-double performance by scoring 15 points along with grabbing 10 rebounds. Matas Vokietaitis was effective, shooting 4 of 8 from the field while also hitting 6 out of 8 from the free-throw line, ending the game with 14 points.
For the Bulls, Jayden Reid was the standout player, topping their scoring chart with 16 points. He also contributed four assists and three steals. Kobe Knox and CJ Brown also fought hard for South Florida, with each player scoring 12 points. Knox additionally recorded three steals, whereas Brown handed out four assists. Unfortunately for the Bulls, this defeat marks the sixth loss in their last seven games.
In the opening half, Glenn’s offensive output set the tone, scoring eight of his points to help the Owls achieve a 34-25 lead by halftime. Florida Atlantic maintained their dominance, expanding a 10-point lead into an imposing 18-point cushion with an 8-0 run, resulting in a 48-30 scoreline with 15:06 remaining in the second half.
As the regular season approaches its conclusion, Florida Atlantic is set to visit UAB on Thursday, and South Florida will travel to face Memphis on Friday.
