CHICAGO — In an exciting matchup on Saturday, Jalen Forrest led the way for Chicago State with an impressive performance, scoring 24 points in their 88-72 victory over Le Moyne.
Forrest’s contributions extended beyond scoring; he also grabbed eight rebounds, helping to secure the team’s second win of the season, bringing their overall record to 2-17 and 2-2 within the Northeast Conference.
Other notable performances for the Cougars came from Gabe Spinelli, who contributed 14 points along with seven assists and five steals, showcasing his all-around skills. Saxby Sunderland was also a key player, sinking four of his seven shots from the field, including three out of five from beyond the arc, netting a total of 13 points.
For Le Moyne, AJ Dancier stood out as the leading scorer, finishing the game with 19 points to go along with six rebounds and five assists, demonstrating his capacity to impact the game in multiple areas. Robby Carmody supported the effort with 16 points, while Dwayne Koroma added a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, along with three steals, although it wasn’t enough to overcome the Cougars.
