BALTIMORE — In an impressive display of teamwork, the Coppin State Eagles triumphed over the Cheyney Wolves with a final score of 88-62 on Thursday night. Jonathan Dunn was a standout for the Eagles, contributing 16 points and securing 10 rebounds, leading his team to a solid victory.
Aside from Dunn’s performance, Toby Nnadozie had a notable game, scoring 15 points with an overall shooting record of 6 for 17. Though he struggled beyond the arc, missing all four of his attempts from three-point range, he made an impact by connecting on 3 out of 4 free-throw attempts. His all-around game was highlighted by his six rebounds, eight assists, and a remarkable eight steals, showcasing his defensive prowess. Camaren Sparrow also added to the offensive output, going 6 of 8 from the floor and sinking 3 of 4 three-point attempts to finish with 15 points.
On the opposing side, the Wolves were led by D’Angelo Lake, who scored 15 points in the contest. His teammates also made contributions, with Joshua Blackmon adding 12 points and recording three steals. Dajer Muldrow provided solid support as well, delivering 11 points along with three steals.
Following this victory, Coppin State is set to travel to face Morgan State on January 25, looking to build on this momentum and improve their season record.
