TOWSON, Md. — Towson University secured an impressive 80-73 victory over Northeastern University on Thursday night, fueled by the scoring prowess of Christian May and Nendah Tarke, who both contributed 17 points apiece to the team’s success.
In a strong all-around performance, May not only amassed his 17 points but also recorded 12 rebounds and provided five assists for the Tigers, improving their season record to 7-9 and 2-1 within the Coastal Athletic Association. Tyler Tejada also made a notable impact, contributing 11 points while successfully hitting 3 of 5 shots from beyond the arc, despite shooting only 3 of 9 overall from the field.
The Northeastern Huskies, now with a record of 9-7 and 1-2 in the same conference, were led in scoring by LA Pratt, who poured in 22 points. Rashad King added 18 points, and JB Frankel supported the team with 16 points, rounding off a strong offensive effort.
The first half saw Towson lag behind, with May scoring eight points. They went into halftime down 37-30 but regrouped to dominate the second half. Tarke was instrumental in this turnaround, adding 12 points in the final half, helping the Tigers to recover and clinch the victory.
