FAIRFAX, Va. — In the opening game of Atlantic 10 Conference play, George Mason triumphed over Davidson with a score of 69-57 on Tuesday. Brayden O’Connor was a standout player for the Patriots, contributing significantly with a total of 19 points. He showcased an impressive shooting performance, hitting 7 of 9 from the field and sinking 4 out of 5 three-point attempts.

Alongside O’Connor, Jalen Haynes proved to be another key player for George Mason, scoring 16 points with an efficient shooting record of 6 for 7 overall, while also converting 4 of 5 free throws. Haynes additionally made his presence felt on the boards, securing five rebounds throughout the game.

On the opposing side, Reed Bailey led the Wildcats with a notable performance, scoring 20 points. Davidson also had support from Zach Laput and Hunter Adam, both of whom contributed 11 points each to the team’s total.
