In a dominating performance, RJ Luis Jr. scored 24 points, contributing significantly to St. John’s decisive 79-51 victory over Seton Hall on Saturday evening.
Luis also recorded eight rebounds for the Red Storm, who improved their record to 16 wins and 3 losses, along with a solid 7-1 standing in the Big East Conference. Zuby Ejiofor supported the team with 15 points, shooting 4 of 9 from the field and an impressive 7 for 8 from the free-throw line, while also grabbing nine rebounds. Kadary Richmond added 12 points, hitting 5 of 7 attempts from the field.
On the other side, Seton Hall, holding a record of 6-12 and 1-6 in conference play, was led in scoring by Isaiah Coleman, who finished with 11 points and six rebounds. Jahseem Felton complemented the effort with nine points, while both Prince Aligbe and Garwey Dual chipped in with eight points each.
Luis Jr. was particularly effective in the first half, scoring 13 points which allowed the Red Storm to establish a commanding lead of 39-16 by halftime.
