MARTIN, Tenn. — In a closely contested game on Saturday night, Tarence Guinyard contributed significantly to UT Martin’s victory over Southeast Missouri State, with a total of 14 points leading his team to a 66-63 win.
Guinyard’s performance included a shooting record of 4 for 10 from the field, which featured two successful three-point attempts out of four, and he also maintained a perfect record from the free-throw line, going 4 for 4. This win improved UT Martin’s overall season record to 6-9 and their conference record to 2-2 within the Ohio Valley Conference.
Supporting Guinyard, teammates Carlos Cortijo and Andrija Bukumirovic added 13 and 11 points, respectively, showcasing a balanced offensive effort from the Skyhawks.
On the other side, Braxton Stacker was a standout performer for the Redhawks, leading his team with an impressive 22 points and contributing four blocked shots. Tedrick Washington Jr. also made a notable impact, putting up 15 points along with nine rebounds and two blocks. Rob Martin chipped in with nine points, but despite their efforts, the Redhawks were unable to extend their winning streak to six games, as their record now stands at 8-7, with a 3-1 mark in conference play.
