INDIANAPOLIS — The Butler Bulldogs showcased a dominant performance against Stetson on Saturday, with quarterback Nick Howard leading the charge by scoring four touchdowns—three on the ground and one through the air, resulting in a decisive 46-13 victory.

A highlight for the Bulldogs was a remarkable defensive score by Jeremiah Jackson, who intercepted a deflected pass in the end zone. He navigated through a cluster of defenders, utilized effective blocking, and sprinted the length of the field for a 100-yard touchdown.

Howard’s offensive contributions came in multiple forms; he connected with Trevon Brown for a 10-yard touchdown pass that put Butler ahead 17-0 in the second quarter before running in a 7-yard TD run just before halftime. In the second half, he added two more rushing touchdowns from 8 and 5 yards. Leading the team’s rushing efforts, Howard carried the ball 19 times for 92 yards, while Griffin Caldwell supported with 91 yards and another rushing touchdown. In total, Butler amassed an impressive 283 rushing yards during the game.

In the passing game, Howard only completed one of his three attempts, which was the touchdown pass to Brown. Quarterback Reagan Andrew contributed significantly as well, completing 11 of 15 passes for a total of 144 yards, helping the Bulldogs improve to a 7-2 overall record and 3-2 in the Pioneer Football League.

On the opposing side, Stetson struggled to find rhythm throughout the game. Quarterback Brady Meitz finished with a line of 27 completions out of 40 attempts for 210 yards, netting one touchdown while also throwing two interceptions, leaving Stetson with a record of 2-6 and 0-4 in their conference play.
