HOUSTON — In a commanding performance, Grayson Carter scored 17 points to lead Texas Southern to a decisive 79-38 victory over Mississippi Valley State on Saturday evening.

Carter also contributed with seven rebounds for the Tigers, who improved their record to 12 wins and 15 losses, alongside a conference mark of 9-5 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference. Oumar Koureissi impressed by scoring 12 points, showcasing an efficient shooting performance with 4 of 5 from the field and 3 of 4 from the foul line. Zytarious Mortle made all his attempts, finishing the game perfect at 4 for 4 from the field, contributing 10 points to the team’s total.

On the other hand, the Delta Devils struggled throughout the match, with Antonio Sisk scoring the most points for his team, ending the game with nine. Jair Horton added another six points to the scoreboard, while Johnathan Pace chipped in with five points.
