SAN ANTONIO — In an impressive performance, Marcus Millender came off the bench to score 21 points, guiding the UTSA Roadrunners to an 88-75 triumph against Wichita State on Saturday. Millender’s efforts did not stop at scoring; he also recorded five assists for the Roadrunners, who improved to 7-8 overall and 1-2 in the American Athletic Conference.

Additionally, Raekwon Horton made a significant contribution with a double-double, accumulating 19 points along with 10 rebounds and five assists. Damari Monsanto also shined on the court, sinking five shots from beyond the arc and finishing with 17 points.

On the other side, Wichita State struggled to find their rhythm, with Xavier Bell standing out as their top scorer, registering 23 points. Quincy Ballard added 22 points and six rebounds to the effort, while Corey Washington chipped in with 12 points and grabbed seven boards.

The Roadrunners seized control early, taking the lead just a minute into the game and maintaining it throughout. By halftime, UTSA had established a notable 47-32 lead, thanks in part to Millender’s scoring. In the second half, UTSA managed to widen their advantage, executing a 7-0 run that enlarged a 15-point lead into a commanding 22-point cushion.
