LOWELL, Mass. — In a competitive matchup on Saturday, Martin Somerville showcased his skills by scoring 26 points, leading UMass-Lowell to a 70-62 win over NJIT.
The River Hawks improved their season record to 13 wins and 5 losses, including a 2-1 mark in the America East Conference.
Somerville not only contributed significantly in scoring but also facilitated the offense with six assists during the game.
Max Brooks made a notable impact as well, scoring 16 points and dominating on the boards with 14 rebounds.
Additionally, he added five assists and registered five blocks, underscoring his all-around performance.
Cam Morris III also made his presence felt, scoring 11 points while shooting efficiently, converting 3 of 6 from the field and sinking all five of his free-throw attempts.
On the other side, Sebastian Robinson was a standout for the Highlanders, clocking in 21 points to lead his team.
