PHILADELPHIA — Jalen Hurts, the quarterback for the Eagles, revealed that he played with a broken finger on his non-throwing hand during their recent 27-13 win against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Hurts recorded an impressive performance that included 290 passing yards, two touchdown throws, and a rushing touchdown.
“It’s broken, and it did impact my play,” Hurts acknowledged regarding the injury.
The injury seems to have occurred in the previous week’s game against Carolina, which led to his listing on the injury report with concerns about his left hand.
Recently, Hurts faced criticism as he struggled with his performances, failing to achieve over 200 passing yards in his last three outings, but he helped the Eagles secure a franchise milestone with their 10th consecutive win.
“I’ve been aware of its condition all week, and I don’t want to dwell too much on it,” he stated. “I can honestly say it didn’t seem to worsen today. If it’s shattered, it’s shattered. It is what it is.”
