CANCUN, Mexico — Jevon Porter showcased an impressive performance, scoring 29 points to propel Loyola Marymount to a narrow 73-70 victory over Wyoming on Wednesday night.
Porter also contributed with seven rebounds and four blocks for the Lions, who now hold a record of 3-3. His teammates also made significant contributions, with Caleb Stone-Carrawell adding 17 points on an efficient 8 of 10 shooting. Additionally, Will Johnston chipped in with 11 points to support the effort.
On the other side, Obi Agbim was a standout for the Cowboys, scoring 23 points while providing five assists. Cole Henry contributed with 12 points, and Jordan Nesbitt notched a double-double by finishing with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
A pivotal moment in the game occurred with 2:32 left in the second half, when Porter sank a crucial 3-pointer that allowed Loyola Marymount to take the lead at 67-66, ultimately securing their win.
