Rennes, France — Alidu Seidu, the Ghanaian defender for Rennes, is set to be out of action for several months due to a significant injury to his left knee.
During the recent Ligue 1 match against Lille, which ended in a 1-0 defeat for Rennes, Seidu suffered a rupture of his cruciate ligament. Unfortunately, he was forced to leave the game after only 18 minutes of play.
Rennes, currently facing difficulties in the league, recently brought in Jorge Sampaoli as their head coach. The team finds itself in 15th place, accumulating merely 11 points after 12 matches. This marks their lowest point total at this stage of the season since 2002.
