— The losing streak for Mississippi Valley State extended to 14 games dating back to last season after a narrow 17-16 setback against Prairie View A&M on Saturday. The game ended dramatically as Mississippi Valley State failed to convert a two-point attempt after a touchdown, which could have tied the match.

With only 1:47 remaining, Ty’Jarian Williams threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to Cameron Nelson, narrowing the gap to a single point.
