Linkin Park has returned with a revamped lineup, marking their first release since the passing of lead singer Chester Bennington in 2017. The group introduced new members Emily Armstrong as the vocalist and Colin Brittain as the drummer during a recent livestream, in addition to original members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix, and Joe Hahn. The band unveiled their latest single, “The Emptiness Machine,” and revealed details about their upcoming album, titled “From Zero,” set to be released on November 15th.

Renowned for their blend of rock and rap, Linkin Park achieved significant commercial success in the 2000s largely due to Bennington’s vocals. Following Bennington’s tragic death at the age of 41, the band has released several re-releases, including anniversary editions of their albums “Hybrid Theory,” “Meteora,” and the compilation album “Papercuts.”

In a statement announcing their new album, Shinoda explained that the title “From Zero” pays homage to the band’s early days as Xero and reflects their current journey. Armstrong, known for her work with alt-rock band Dead Sara, and Brittain, a songwriter and producer with collaborations with artists like Papa Roach and One OK Rock, have joined the lineup, with Brittain taking over drumming duties from original member Rob Bourdon, who has chosen to step back.

Shinoda expressed the band’s excitement about the new lineup and their collaborative music-making process with Armstrong and Brittain, saying, “We’re weaving together the sonic touchpoints we’ve been known for and still exploring new ones.” Linkin Park also announced the “From Zero World Tour,” consisting of five arena shows in cities like Los Angeles, New York, Hamburg, London, and Seoul, with an additional show scheduled for Bogotá, Colombia in November.

The tracklist for the upcoming album “From Zero” includes a variety of songs such as “Cut The Bridge,” “Heavy Is The Crown,” “Two Faced,” and more, giving fans a glimpse into the new musical direction the band is taking with their latest release.
