KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Ugnius Jarusevicius delivered an impressive performance, scoring 21 points as Central Michigan secured an 86-57 win over Western Michigan on Saturday.

Jarusevicius also added six rebounds to his tally for the Chippewas, who now hold a record of 12-15 and 5-9 in the Mid-American Conference. Alongside him, Bryan Ndjonga played a crucial role, contributing 15 points while shooting an efficient 6 of 7 from the field and 3 of 4 from the free-throw line. Kyler Vanderjagt also made his mark, going 5 for 6 from the floor and sinking 3 of 4 three-pointers to finish with 15 points.

The Broncos, now with a record of 9-18 and 6-8 in the conference, were led in scoring by Javaughn Hannah, who finished with 19 points along with three steals. Chansey Willis Jr. supported the effort with 10 points and four assists, while Markhi Strickland added eight points and two blocks.

Central Michigan took control of the game with 13:25 remaining in the first half and never looked back. Jarusevicius was particularly effective in the first half, scoring 13 points, helping the team to a substantial 46-27 lead at halftime. The Chippewas maintained momentum in the second half, outscoring Western Michigan by 10 points, with Jakobi Heady leading the team in the final period by scoring nine points.

Both squads are set to compete again on Tuesday, with Central Michigan hosting Buffalo and Western Michigan facing Ohio on their home court.
