PHILADELPHIA — On Wednesday night, Erik Reynolds II played a pivotal role in leading Saint Joseph’s to a narrow 76-72 victory over Duquesne.
Reynolds showcased his skills by scoring a solid 20 points, making 5 of his 12 attempts from the field, including 2 out of 7 from beyond the arc, and successfully hitting 8 of his 10 free throws. This win improved the Hawks’ record to 13 wins and 8 losses, with a conference standing of 5-4 in the Atlantic 10 Conference.
In addition to Reynolds’ contribution, Xzayvier Brown was instrumental for Saint Joseph’s, finishing the game with 16 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. Rasheer Fleming also made a notable impact on the court, completing 6 of 8 shots to score 13 points, while also grabbing seven rebounds.
For the Dukes, Tre Dinkins emerged as the standout player, scoring an impressive 27 points and recording two steals. Cam Crawford supported the team with 10 points, and Jahsean Corbett chipped in with nine points and eight rebounds.
In the first half, Reynolds managed to score only six points, as the Hawks found themselves trailing 26-24 at halftime. However, he turned up the heat in the second half, leading his team with 14 points.
