A lineup of notable artists, including Kid Rock and country artist Jason Aldean, is set to perform at various presidential inauguration events in Washington, D.C., over the upcoming weekend. The Trump Vance Inaugural Committee revealed much of the program on Wednesday.
Kid Rock, who has been a steadfast supporter of Trump, will take the stage at the Make America Great Again Rally on Sunday at Capital One Arena. He will be joined by Billy Ray Cyrus, Lee Greenwood, and the popular group The Village People, as well as a choir from Liberty University.
Greenwood expressed his excitement about the upcoming festivities, stating, “The pageantry is wonderful. I’m excited about all of that. I’m thrilled to perform once again for the President of the United States, particularly for my friend Donald J. Trump.”
Jason Aldean, known for his Grammy nominations and the controversial track “Try That in a Small Town,” is also scheduled to perform at The Liberty Ball on Monday evening. He will share the stage with The Village People and a mystery musical guest.
The official swearing-in ceremony on Monday will host a number of already announced performers, including Carrie Underwood, who will sing “America the Beautiful,” Italian tenor Christopher Maccio performing the National Anthem, and Greenwood. The ceremony will also feature three inaugural balls.
“I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event,” Underwood shared in a statement on Monday.
At the Commander-in-Chief Ball, which will specifically honor military service members, the country group Rascal Flatts will perform alongside Texas singer-songwriter Parker McCollum. Gary LeVox, the lead vocalist of Rascal Flatts, mentioned on Instagram that he feels “happy and humbled and grateful for the opportunity” to perform. He noted that he previously played at Trump’s first inauguration and promised it would be “a night to remember,” while expressing his gratitude to South Dakota governor Kristi Noem in his post.
The Starlight Ball, aimed at high-value donors, will showcase Gavin DeGraw, a well-known singer-songwriter recognized for his hit “I Don’t Want to Be,” which served as the theme for the CW series “One Tree Hill.”
Trump’s inaugural event in 2017 included performances from the famous Rockettes, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and 16-year-old Jackie Evancho, who gained fame on “America’s Got Talent.”
