DENTON, Texas — In a decisive performance, Johnathan Massie contributed significantly off the bench for North Texas, posting 14 points in their 62-46 triumph over Houston Christian on Sunday.

Massie showcased his shooting skills, successfully making 5 of 8 attempts from the field for the Mean Green, who now hold a record of 9-3. Additional support came from Moulaye Sissoko, who chipped in 10 points and secured 10 rebounds, completing 4 of his 6 shots. Atin Wright also made an impact, finishing with nine points from 3 of 9 shooting, including hitting 2 of 6 from beyond the arc.

On the other side, the Huskies (4-9, 1-1 Southland Conference) saw their highest scorer in Julian Mackey, who tallied 14 points. Elijah Brooks contributed with seven points and two steals in the effort.

North Texas established control early, seizing the lead just 1:57 into the first half and maintaining their advantage throughout. By halftime, they were ahead 30-23, with Massie having delivered an impressive eight points during this period.
