PRINCESS ANNE, Md.
— Kaseem Watson played a pivotal role in Delaware State’s triumph over Maryland-Eastern Shore, scoring 21 points in their 73-66 win on Saturday night.
Watson not only showcased his scoring ability but also contributed significantly on the boards, securing six rebounds for the Hornets, who improved their record to 10-10 overall and 2-3 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.
Muneer Newton also had a noteworthy performance, adding 13 points alongside nine rebounds. Robert Smith, despite struggling with his shooting, managed to finish with 13 points, making all four of his attempts from the free-throw line, though he ended the night shooting only 4 for 14 from the field and 1 for 9 from beyond the arc.
For the Hawks, who fell to 4-16 and 0-4 in the conference, Ketron Shaw was the standout player, leading his team with 20 points.
Chris Flippin contributed a solid effort as well, scoring 12 points and blocking two shots, while Kyrell Shaw chipped in with nine points to support the team.
