NEW YORK — “Saturday Night Live” is set to conclude its monumental 50th season with actress Scarlett Johansson taking on hosting duties and musician Bad Bunny as the musical guest.
The network, NBC, revealed the lineup for the final trio of episodes, with Johansson and Bad Bunny featured in the season finale scheduled for May 17.
The finale has traditionally garnered considerable attention, particularly for its closing segment of Weekend Update. During this segment, cast members Michael Che and Colin Jost exchange jokes crafted for each other. This often results in Jost humorously delivering jokes centered around his wife, Johansson.
Kicking off the final three episodes on May 3, “Abbott Elementary” creator and star Quinta Brunson will be hosting, accompanied by a performance from Benson Boone.
Actor Walton Goggins, who has made a significant impact on television with his roles in “The White Lotus” and “The Righteous Gemstones” this spring, will take the stage as host on May 10. Joining him, Arcade Fire will perform as the musical guest, marking their sixth appearance on the show, the first being 18 years ago.
