Jaden Schwartz nets three goals in Kraken’s 4-2 win against the Kings

SEATTLE — The Seattle Kraken celebrated a strong victory against the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday night, finishing the match with a score of 4-2. Jaden Schwartz played a standout role with a hat trick, while Joey Daccord showcased impressive goalkeeping, managing to make 17 of his 28 saves during a crucial third period.

Schwartz set the tone early by scoring just 28 seconds into the game, and later took the lead again at the 7:40 mark, breaking a 1-1 tie. He capped off his impressive performance with an empty-net goal in the third period, marking his 16th goal of the season. As for the Kraken, Chandler Stephenson provided a pivotal moment in the game by netting the go-ahead goal at 1:37 of the second period.

On the other side, the Kings saw Adrian Kempe and Jordan Spence contribute with goals, but it wasn’t enough to counter Seattle’s advances. Matt Murray of Los Angeles made 18 saves throughout the game, but the team couldn’t recover from the Kraken’s scoring bursts.

In terms of statistics, the Kings dropped to a record of 25-13-2, while the Kraken celebrated their 10th win at home, improving to 20-24-3. One of the game’s defining moments came when Warren Foegele intercepted a pass during a Seattle power play, making a bold dash down the left side. However, Daccord was quick to read the situation, successfully denying Foegele’s attempt, which helped maintain Seattle’s one-goal advantage.

Another notable highlight for the Kraken was their defensive effort, as they managed to block a total of 22 shots from their opponents.

Looking ahead, both teams will be back in action on Monday. The Kings will host the Pittsburgh Penguins, while the Kraken prepare to face the Buffalo Sabres.
