RICHMOND, Va. — In a tightly contested game, Robbie Avila scored 24 points to propel Saint Louis to a 63-59 victory over Richmond on Saturday afternoon.

Avila also recorded nine rebounds, aiding the Billikens, who now boast an overall record of 11-7 and a strong 4-1 standing in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Alongside Avila, Isaiah Swope contributed 11 points while Kalu Anya added another 10 points to the team’s total.

For the Spiders, Dusan Neskovic was the standout player, netting 20 points throughout the game. Meanwhile, Jonathan Beagle made a significant impact with 12 points, complemented by six rebounds and three blocks. Apostolos Roumoglou rounded out the efforts with nine points, 10 rebounds, and two steals, showcasing a well-rounded performance.

In the first half, Avila was pivotal for Saint Louis, contributing 10 points and helping the team establish a slight edge as they entered halftime with a 27-23 lead.
