GREENVILLE, S.C. — On Wednesday night, Pjay Smith Jr. delivered a standout performance with 21 points, leading Furman to a narrow victory over East Tennessee State with a final score of 73-70.

Smith also contributed with six rebounds for the Paladins, who improved their season record to 15-3 and 3-2 in the Southern Conference. Nick Anderson was another key player, hitting 4 of 5 field goals and making all 4 of his free-throw attempts, resulting in 14 points. Eddrin Bronson added to the scoring with 11 points, going 4 for 12 from the field and 2 for 6 from beyond the arc.

For the Buccaneers, Quimari Peterson led his team with a matching score of 21 points, alongside three steals showcasing his defensive skills. Jaden Seymour also had a notable night with 18 points and eight rebounds, while John Buggs III contributed 13 points to the Buccaneers’ effort.
