CARBONDALE, Ill. — In an exciting match on Tuesday evening, Zek Montgomery played a pivotal role in Bradley’s convincing 83-60 win over Southern Illinois, kicking off their Missouri Valley Conference season with a strong performance.

Montgomery contributed significantly to the Braves’ success, scoring 22 points while hitting 8 out of 13 shots from the field. His impressive accuracy from beyond the arc was evident as he successfully landed 5 out of 6 three-point attempts, along with making 1 of 3 from the free-throw line. This victory improved Bradley’s season record to 8-1 and marked the beginning of conference play at 1-0. Almar Atlason also made a notable impact, netting 17 points with a remarkable 5 of 7 success rate from three-point territory.
