War in Trump Cabinet, Rubio
It was only a matter of time, War in Trump Cabinet. Everyone saw this coming. The inevitable showdown between Marco Rubio and Elon Musk finally exploded last week. And let’s be honest, it did not disappoint.
The setting? A full Trump Cabinet meeting. The audience? President Trump and 20 top officials. The contenders? Marco Rubio, Secretary of State, and Elon Musk, the self-proclaimed genius who thinks he runs everything.
Musk came in swinging. He accused Rubio of not doing his job. He claimed Rubio had fired no one. Then, he whined about losing one of his own employees.
Rubio was not in the mood for Musk’s drama. He shot back immediately. He made it clear that he forced 1,500 State Department employees into early retirement. That’s a solid number, and he wasn’t about to let Musk downplay it.
Things got ugly fast. Voices got louder. The argument turned into a full-blown shouting match. The rest of the Cabinet watched in either horror or amusement.
Just when it seemed like things might spiral out of control, Trump decided to step in. He cut Musk off. Then, he sided with Rubio.
“Marco has a lot of work to do,” Trump declared. “So leave him alone.”
And just like that, Musk was put in his place.
The real humiliation came next. Trump made it clear—from now on, department heads would be responsible for firings. DOGE? Strictly a consulting role.
Musk had no choice but to accept his new place in the Cabinet. Trump made it clear that Musk is not in charge of everything. The decision was final.
Rubio has been furious for weeks. Musk has been pushing his limits. The shutdown of the Agency for International Development (AID) was the last straw. Rubio has had enough.
Musk likes to think he makes all the big decisions. But this time, he got shut down. Rubio stood his ground. Trump backed him up. Musk lost the battle.
