Defensive tackle Milton Williams, linebacker Robert Spillane, cornerback Carlton Davis, and offensive tackle Morgan Moses are set to join the New England Patriots, as confirmed by four individuals familiar with the agreements. They disclosed these new developments on the condition of anonymity because the official signing cannot occur until Wednesday.
Milton Williams, who played a pivotal role in Philadelphia’s victory over Kansas City in the Super Bowl by sacking quarterback Patrick Mahomes twice, has secured a lucrative contract that averages $26 million annually. Robert Spillane, aged 29, who started every game over the past two seasons for the Las Vegas Raiders with an impressive average of 153 tackles, has agreed to a three-year contract valued at $37.5 million.
In addition, Carlton Davis, a seasoned player with seven years of experience, has been offered a three-year, $60 million contract. Last season, he was instrumental in stabilizing the Detroit Lions’ secondary after spending his initial six seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Meanwhile, Morgan Moses, at 34, who boasts 158 starts over 11 seasons with teams like the Commanders, Jets, and Ravens, has settled on a three-year deal worth $28.5 million.
The Patriots have also reached an agreement with edge rusher Harold Landry on Sunday. Furthermore, backup quarterback Joshua Dobbs has consented to a two-year contract with the team. Dobbs’ agent, Mike McCartney, shared this news on X. Last season, Dobbs played for San Francisco and has a record of 3-12 as a starter in his seven seasons across five teams.
