Houston Texans are set to sign wide receiver Braxton Berrios on a one-year contract, as disclosed by a source familiar with the agreement. The individual, requesting anonymity due to the team not having made an official announcement, revealed that Berrios will earn $2 million from the contract.
In addition to securing Berrios, the Texans recently strengthened their lineup by acquiring wide receiver Christian Kirk through a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars, which occurred last week.
Berrios, known for his abilities as a return specialist, faced a challenging season last year, limited to only six games owing to injuries. However, during the 2021 season, he achieved personal success while playing for the New York Jets, with a career-high of 46 receptions.
This addition of Berrios is part of the Texans’ strategic efforts to bolster their offensive options as they look toward the upcoming NFL season.
